Longrun was appointed by Coogee Chemicals to design the track-work and signalling including spill containment measures for a diesel fuel railing terminal.
Key challenges included:
- Design of track restricted by a narrow corridor available.
- Design allowing pushing and pulling of wagons.
- Coordinate with Brookfield for the design connection with mainline network.
- Coordinate and understand the need of loading facility engineers to design track according to their need.
A year after this project, the client contacted Longrun to design a level crossing on Coogee rail terminal that would allow a trackmobile to come onto the rail track to shunt the wagons that are in the facility.
