Project Management and Superintendent for Town of Claremont
Longrun was retained by Town of Claremont to organize for the construction of a pedestrian underpass under the Fremantle Railway Line at Stirling Rd.
The work was done during a 3 day shut-down of the Railway where the Longrun team worked 24hrs a day to help the contractor to deliver on time.
Longrun also supervised the precast of the concrete units and liaised with the Public Transport Authority on behalf of the client.
Key challenges included:
- Liaise with PTA, and other third parties to minimize risk of cutting underground and above ground services,
- Build a methodology to minimize the risk of time delay that would stop Fremantle line Train services,
- Implement and follow up on PTA quality requirements to the precast units
